• Non -Conforming Use & Special Use Permit Applications Narrative <br />We would like to add a deck to the back of our house at 1121 l& St. NW, <br />New Brighton, MN. A patio door was recently added when the windows <br />were installed by Lampert Exteriors. The deck addition will be attached to <br />the house and meets the set back standards. The garage is the <br />nonconforming structure and is why we need to apply for this special Non - <br />Conforming Use Permit. <br />The garage is the nonconforming structure that we would like to add on to; <br />however, we would only add on in a conforming manner. The stall would <br />be 12' x 22'. We want to add on to the garage to have more storage space. <br />The existing garage is of sound structure, is maintained, with a new garage <br />door recently installed and matches the house. The neighbor's garage is also <br />less than 5' from the property line. There are no eave overhang problems <br />and there is enough room for good drainage and mowing between the <br />properties. <br />• The garage addition would not be used for any commercial purposes, would <br />be maintained to match the house and would only be used as storage space <br />for our own storage needs. <br />
