June 10, 2008 Page 4 of 4 <br />COnnellrnember Phlltins-Planning Commission <br />Counciltnember Phillips reported the next Planning Commission meeting will be June 17", A public <br />hearing related to a cell tower proposal in Hidden Oaks Park will beheld A reminder was given that all <br />' <br />commission meetings with the exception ofpublic safety are televised on CTV. <br />Councyhnember Bauman -Park, Recreation & Environmental Commission <br />Councilmember Bauman reported. the Family Service Center Fitness Center has a video promo now <br />airing in CTV. Three high schools held their Senior all night graduation parties, The annual shut down <br />at the Family Service Canter will be June 30 -July 4. A public hearing will be held August 6 at the Park, <br />Recreation and Environmental Commission meeting to discuss trail options at Hansen park <br />Councilmember Bauman was pleased with the recent Northwest Quadrant Financial Task Force <br />meeting. <br />Councilmember Bur¢-Eeonomic Development Commission <br />Councilmember Burg attended the Economic Development Coninimon, the fust televised. Current <br />projects were reviewed including, New Brighton Center and the Northwest Quadrant east and west <br />side. An update was given by commissioner Cynthia Lesher related to the Republican National <br />Convention planned for this fall. <br />Mayor Larson <br />Mayor Larson congratulated Dave Black, and Dan Fetter on their effort for the recent grant received <br />Gratitude was expressed to Mr. Lotter for taking the initiative in offering assistance to neighboring city <br />Hugo in the aftermath ofa recent tornado.
