JOHNsOt"1 OF LAND LOCATED ON SILVER LAKE ROAD <br /> NORTH OF I -694 <br />WHEREAS 1 the Vi I lage of New Brighton Owns a parcel of land On the east <br /> side of Silver Lake Road, north of 1-6941 containing <br /> approximately 5.2 acres 1 and <br />WHEREAS I due to changing development in the Vii lage of New Brighton, i .t <br /> now appears that there is no need for such land for public <br /> use at the present time or in the immediate future, and <br />WHEREAS1 John R. Johnson, has submi tted a wr itten offer to purchase such <br /> land for the sum of $30,300.00, cash, which price is <br /> cOnsistent with a written appraisal made by Joseph L. <br /> Bettendorf 1 and <br />~'JHEREAS 1 it appears in the best interest of the V i II age of New Br i ghtoll <br /> to se! I such land and such offer appears to be fair and <br /> reasonable in all respects <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, (I) The Mayor and Manager are hereby <br /> authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the Vii lage <br /> of New Br i ghton an acceptance of the \~r i tten offer of purchas!3 <br /> from John R. JOhnson, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> made a part hereof. <br /> (2) The Mayor and Manager are further authorized and directed <br /> to execute a II additional documents necessary to the performa~ce <br /> of said such agreement and the sale of the lands described <br /> therein, which lands are as fol lows: <br /> "A parcel of land lying in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 19, <br /> Township 30 North, Range 23 West, described as fol lows: <br /> Starting at the Southeast corner of the Southwest 1/4 of <br /> Section 19, Township 30 North, Range 23 West; thence North <br /> Eight Hundred Sixty-six and Eighty-eight Hundredths (866.88) <br /> feet on the East 1 ine of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 19, <br /> Township 30 North, Range 23 ~iest; thsnce West Thirty-three <br /> (33.0) feet on a I ine perpendicular to the East line of the <br /> Southwest 1/41 Section 191 Township 30 North, Range 23 West <br /> to the point of beginning. <br /> Thence West One Hundred Fifty (150) feet On a line <br /> perpendicular to the East line of the Southwest 1/4, Section <br /> 19, Township 30 North, Range 23 West; thence North One <br /> Hundred Twenty (120) feet On a I ins parallel to the East <br /> line of the Southwest 1/4 of said Section; thence West <br />
