RESOLUTION TO DETACH CERTAIN LANDS FROM THE VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON FOR <br /> PURPOSE OF ANNEX~TION OF SUCH LANDS BY THE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS AND TO <br /> ANNEX CERTAIN LANDS TO THE VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON WHICH LANDS ARE <br /> TO BE DETACHED FROM THE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> WI-IEREAS certain lands lying within the corporate limits of the <br /> Village of New Brighton are separated from the remainder of the Village by <br /> freeways I-35W and I-694, which makes it difficult. for the village of <br /> New Brighton to properly serve the area with utilities and police and fire <br /> protection, and such area can be more readily served by the Village of <br /> Arden Hills, and <br /> WHEREAS certain lands lying within the corporate limits of the <br /> Village of Arden Hills are separated from the remainder of the Village <br /> : by Freeway I-35W which makes it difficult for the Village of Arden Hills <br /> i to properly serve the area with utilities and police and fire protectiop~ <br /> and such area can be more readily served by the Village of New Brighton, and <br /> WHEREAS the Villages of New Brighton and Arden Hills deem it advisable, <br /> practical and in the best public interest that the common boundaries <br /> between the two villages be revised by appropriate simultaneous detachment <br /> and annexation of the lands hereinafter described. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1.
