<br />. . f"\ . f'l. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 868 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING MAYOR AND MANAGER TO EXECUTE <br /> NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR PURCHASE OF MA INTENANCE GARAGE SITE AND <br /> TRANSFER FROM LIQUOR RETAINED EARNINGS TO GENERAL FUND <br /> WHEREAS the Village of New Brighton is in need of and has <br /> long range plans to build a municipal maintenance department <br /> garage which facility will require approximately six (6) acres of <br /> land, and <br /> WHEREAS, Griffis, Inc. has offered to sell to the Village <br /> of New Brighton 6.09 acres of land for the pric~ of $57,855.00 <br /> which land is located between Old Highway 8 and the Minnesota <br /> Transfer Railway tracks nor.th of 5th Street, and <br /> WHEREAS such site appears to be suitable for the purpose <br /> of a maintenance garage anq theffiking price appears to be fair <br /> and equitable <br /> NOW THERltFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Mayor and Manager <br /> are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the <br /> Village of New Brighton the attached Purchase Agreement to <br /> contract for the purchase of said land and the Mayor, Manager, <br /> Clerk-Treasurer and Attorney are authorized and directed to <br /> take all necessary steps and execute all necessary documents <br /> and .makeall necessary payments to complete the purchase of said <br /> land in accordance with the attached Purchase Agreement. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the sum of $57,855.00 be <br /> transferred from Liquor Retained Earnings to the General Fund. <br /> A.dopted this 22nd day of September, 1970. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> &-v / <br /> ,cz.. .,.F <br /> Mayor <br /> ~.PIJ~ <br /> Vernon C.
