<br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE ' ESTABLISHMENT OF A SOIL AND WATER
<br />CONSERVATION DISTRICT FOR RAMSEY COUNTY

<br />WHEREAS the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has
<br />J;:eceived'apetition from RamseY,County residents urging :the
<br />establishmentpf a Soil and Water Conservation District, and
<br />
<br />'WHE~S such a district would survey and gather information
<br />,on the ,condition of hmd and water quality' in Ramsey County and
<br />generate a sQilmap for Ramsey County, and
<br />
<br />waEREAS such a district would provide information and
<br />',expertise to Ramsey County municipalities, and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS such a district is strictly advisory, and
<br />

<br />WHEREAS New Brighton's subdivision regul.ations could be
<br />enhanced with the information and expertise available from such
<br />a district
<br />
<br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Council of the Village
<br />of New Brighton hereby goes on record as supporting the
<br />establishment of a Ramsey County Soil and Water Conservation
<br />District, ,
<br />
<br />BE!T FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Village Manager be and is
<br />hereby directed to file a copy of this resolution with the
<br />Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
