<br />-- <br /> <br /> <br />5~. ,.. \ <br /> <br />,'11 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1253 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION EXTENDING MORATORIUM ON THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS FOR <br />THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIGNS WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Council of the V~llage of New Brighton has <br />reviewed the community Betterment TaskForce's report on sign <br />regulations, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Council endorses the basic concept of the <br />community Betterment Task Force's recommendations, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Council is now cDnsidering the adoption of a new <br />sign ordinance more restrictive than the one which presently <br />exists <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the V.illage of <br />New Brighton that: <br /> <br />1. In specific instances and upon special consideration <br />by the Village Council an application for a sign permit <br />may be gr.anted if .it can be shown that it is clearly <br />authorized by the ord~nance and its authorization does <br />not fall within an area of potential confusion, misinter- <br />pretation, or conflict of the ordinance as it is now <br />written, if it ,,iSJ3hown to the ~Cl:t;.isf.act~on of the Council <br />that a hardshipwQUld exfst,fifosu<?h"permit were delayed: <br /> <br />2. The moratorium on theis,suance of sign permits be <br />ext~nded until.
