<br /> WHEREAS the County of Ramsey has commenced a lawsuit against
<br /> ':heVillageof New Brighton with regard to a dispute over payment
<br /> hf certain claims by the Cou,nty of Ramsey for costs and expenses
<br /> ~~n the reconstruction and improvement of Ditches 2 and 3, and
<br />" WHEREAS similar lawsuits have been commenced against the
<br /> iTillages of St. Anthoriy and Roseville, and
<br /> WHEREAS it appears in the best interests of the" Village of
<br /> ~rew Brighton and the other two villages involved that ,a united
<br /> :lefense, the consolidation of the three causes of action for trial
<br /> :Lnd the employment of a single attorney to represent all the partie~:
<br /> ,':lereto be accoxnplished,
<br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Mayor and Manager are
<br /> ~uthorized to execute the Proposed Joint Powers Agreement'attached
<br /> '. e~(:!to and that upon execution of the Joint Powers Agreemeht attachE'd
<br /> , ,':i~reto by the Villages of st. Anthony, Roseville and New Brighton,
