RESOLUTION NO. 1241 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT ON IMPROVEMENT 71-4 <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of <br />New Brighton, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />WHEREAS pursuant to proper notice duly given as, required by <br />law the Village Council has met and heard and passed upon all <br />objections to the proposed assessment for the improvement of: <br /> <br />8th Street N.W. from First Avenue to 5th Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />By: ~egrading, concrete curb & g1;ltter, bituminous base and <br />surfacing <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NEW <br />BRIGHTON, MINN~~OTA ~" > ' <br /> <br />'1. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual install- <br />ments extendxng ov~r a period of fifteen (15) years, the first of <br />the installments to be payable on or after the first Monday in <br />January, 1974, and shall bear interest at the rate of eight percent <br />;(SOA,) per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment <br />resolution until December 31, 1973, to each subsequent installment <br />when due shall be added interest for one (1) year on all unpaid <br />installments. <br /> <br />3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time <br />prior to certification of the assessment to the county auditor, pal <br />the whole of the assessment on such property, with interest accruej <br />to the date of payment,to the Village Trea~urer, except that no <br />interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is 'paid within <br />30 days from the adoption of this resolution and he may, at any. tine <br />thereafter, pay to the county treasurer, and the balance of the <br />assessments remaining unpaid to the Village Treasurer with interes: <br />accrued in accordance with the status in suchcase made and provide,L <br /> <br />4 . ,The olerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate, <br />of this asse'8sment to the cQunty auditor to be extended on the pro:;>el <br />tax list of the county, and <such assessments shall be collected an,!i <br />paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes. <br /> <br />Adopted this 2nd day of August, 1973 <br />ATTEST: <br />.~ Gay C.
