Ii. <br /> <br />;..,; <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1412 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION PETITIONING THE RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT TO <br />UNDERTAKE A FEASIBILITY STUDY OF IMPROVEMENTS TO JONES LAKE, <br />COUNTY DITCH #2 AND PIKE LAKE <br /> <br />WHEREAS the City of New Brighton is desirous of improving the <br />condition of Jones Lake, County Ditch #2, and Pike Lake, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS on July 23, 1974 at a special meeting with the Rice <br />Creek Watershed District Board of Managers the New Brighton <br />Council explained its concerns in regard to the above drainage <br />system, such concerns noted in the attached minutes of July 22, <br />1974, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Rice Creek Watershed District's engineer has <br />submitted a proposal to gather existing data on the above noted <br />problem; to explore the various options for wat~r management; to <br />estimate the cost. of various improvements;' and tq futnish such <br />information to the City . .,,: <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED By the Council',.of .the City of <br />New Brighton, That Council hereby petitions the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District Board of Managers to conduct a feasibility <br />suudy of Jones Lake, 60unty Ditch #2, and Pike Lake to include <br />the following: <br /> <br />1. Accumulation of all existing engineering data; <br />2. Exploration of the various options for water management; <br />3. Estimation of costs for the various alternate improvements; <br />4. Providing of such study to the City of New Brighton. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the minutes of the special <br />meeting of July 22, 1974, be made a part of this resolution and <br />the concerns contained in such minutes be addressed in the <br />petitioned for study, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the New Brighton City Administra- <br />tion is hereby directed to supply information it has available <br />regarding the above drainage system upon the request of the <br />Watershed District, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of New Brighton agrees <br />to pay up to $5,000 for the cost of such study, such $5,000 to be <br />apportioned from the Revenue Sharing Fund as specified in tne <br />1974 Capital Budget, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I <br />
