<br />,. ~ , '-# ...-= <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1410 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION PETITIONING RAMSEY COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS TO <br />CONSIDER ACQUISITION OF BRIGHTWOOD HILLS GOLF COURSE AS PART OF <br />THEIR OPEN SPACE PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS the owner of, Brightwood Hills golf course in the <br />City of New Brighton bas advised the New Brighton City Council <br />that he intends to either sell or abandon such golf course and if <br />abandoned, subd~vide it into residential lots, and, <br />WHEREAS the City has no funds available for acquisition <br />of said property~ and <br />WHEREAS the Council feels that preservation of said property <br />for open space and recreation is in the best interest of both <br />New Brighton and Ramsey County, and <br />WHEREAS Ramsey County has received legislative approval to <br />bond for acquisition of property for open space and recreational <br />purposes, and <br />WHEREAS Ramsey County has no golf course facilities in the <br />northwestern part of the County <br />NOW THEREFORE BE I~ RESOLVED, That the Council of the City <br />of New Brighton respectfully requests that the Commissoners of <br />the County of Ramsey investigate the possibility of including <br />the Brightwood Hills golf course in its open space program and <br />that such determination be made at an early date due to the <br />owner1s stated intention of subdividing and platting said <br />property. <br />Adopted this 27th day of August 1974. <br />ATTEST: <br /> / <br />~v.;~ _~--(JJ21)"A'b - <br /> Thomas F.
