<br /> . i \ <br /> , <br /> . <br /> '~'~/ ~ <br /> ....... ." <br /> , <br /> . <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> AND <br /> RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT <br /> This agreement made this day of September, 1975 by and <br /> between the City of New Brighton, a municipal corporation and the Rice Creek <br /> Watershed District, a governmental subdivision witnesseth: <br /> WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton desires to have a preliminary <br /> reconnaissance investigation to isolate sources that contribute sediments <br /> to Long Lake at the point where Rice Creek enters the lake and to have <br /> developed preliminary plans and cost estimates for alternative means for <br /> reducing sediment load entering Rice Creek and/or removing sediment from <br /> Rice Creek before it enters the Long La~e'area, and <br /> WHEREAS, the estimated cost for such engineering work is $4,700, and <br /> WHEREAS, Rice Creek Watershed District does not have the funds to pay <br /> for such work at this time, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton desires the work to proceed forth- <br /> wi th , <br /> NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED by and between the parties hereto <br /> as follows: <br /> l. The Rice Creek Watershed District will forthwith hire the fo~lowing <br /> engineering work to be done: <br /> A preliminary reconnaissance investigation to isolate sources <br /> that contribute sediments to Long Lake at the point where Rice <br /> Creek enters the lake and to have developed preliminary plans and <br /> cost estimates for alternative means for reducing sediment load <br /> entering Rice Creek and/or removing sediment from Rice Creek <br /> before it enters the Long Lake area <br /> 2. The City of New Brighton hereby agrees to pay the cost of such <br /> work, but in no event more than $4,700.00, upon completion of the work. <br /> 3. The Rice Cree~ Watershed District agrees that if any project is <br /> ordered to correct or partially correct the deposit of sediments in Long <br /> Lake by Rice' Creek, the City of New Brighton shall receive a credit against <br /> its share of the cost of such project in an amount equal to the amount <br /> paid by New Brighton for the aforesaid engineering work. <br /> -I- <br /> I <br />
