<br />""'! .'- ~ .. <br />( <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1551 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION EXTENDING MORATORIUM ON THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS FOR <br />THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIGNS WITHIN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> WHEREAS the present sign ordinance inadequately regulates <br />and controls the construction of signs in the City of New <br />Brighton, and <br /> WHEREAS the Council is desirous of establishing new regula- <br />tions and controls for the construction of signs <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of New Brighton that: <br /> 1. The moratorium on the issuance of sign permits be <br /> extended through August 12, 1975, or until the section <br /> of the zoning code relating to signs has been amended <br /> whichever shall be firsti <br /> 2. In specific instances and upon special consideration <br /> by the city Coupcil an applicCltion for a sign permit <br /> may be granted if it can be shown that such sign <br /> being requested is clearly authorized by the present <br /> sign ordinance and if it is shown to the satisfaction <br /> of the Council that a hardship would exist if such : f <br /> I ' <br /> permit were delayed. <br />Adopted by the City Council this 13th day of May 1975. <br />ATTEST: : <br />~dh~ <br />Vernon C.
