' <br /> /" <br />> <br /> , <br />, I RESOLUTION NO. 1538 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A TASK FORCE TO STUDY STANDARDS AND <br /> )1' CRITERIA FOR FIRE PROTECTION WITHIN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> ;/ <br /> WHEREAS as a paet of the Capital Improvement Plan a study <br /> of fire protection within the City of New Brighton has been <br /> conducted over the past two years, and <br /> WHEREAS this ~udy is complete; has been received by the <br /> Council; and has been duly considered by the Council, and <br /> WHEREAS such study recommends the need of establishment of <br /> a task force to determine fire response standards for the City <br /> and recommend means to achieve those standards, and <br /> WHEREAS the Council has determined that such a task force <br /> should be established <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br /> New Brighton, That a New Brighton Advisory Task Force on Fire <br /> Protection be hereby formed <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the charge of such task force <br /> shall be the establishment of fire response standards for the <br /> City of New Brighton and recommendation of appropriate implementa- <br /> tion measures <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That in satisfying the above charge <br /> the Task Force shall consider the question of: <br /> 1. Minimal acceptable response times to fires; <br /> 2. Methods to decrease response time of volunteers; <br /> 3. Contracting with other cities for first response in <br /> certain areas of the City: <br /> 4. Need for and/or location of an additional fire station or <br /> stations; <br /> 5. Manning by means of all volunteer, partially full time <br /> or totally full time; I <br /> 6. Sleeping-in by volunteers; <br /> 7. Other areas pertinent to response time. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Task Force shall not be . <br /> a standing committee, but shall study only areas relative to the <br /> above charge, and shall terminate upon its final report to the <br /> Councilor by resolution of the Council. <br /> ! <br /> , <br />
