'1 " .. . . ... ~ ~' RESOLUTION NO. 1515 STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT 75-2B WAtER MAINS BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the city of New Brighton, Minnesota as follows: WHEREAS pursuant to an advertisement in the New Brighton Bulletin and the construction Bulletin February 6, 13, and 20, 1975, bids for Improvement 75-2B were received, opened and read aloud by city Administration at 11:00 A.M., March 3, 1975, according to law and the following bids attached hereto were received complying with the advertisement, and WHEREAS the Council has considered both ductal iron water pipes, and the alternate, prestressed concrete water pipe, and have determined that it is in the best interest of the City to construct with ductal iron pipe, and WHEREAS the bid of Hoffman Brothers, Inc. in the amount of $392,549.25 has been determined to be the lowest bid complying with bid specifications NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the city of New Brighton, That the bid of Hoffman Brothers, Inc. , in the amount of$392,549.25 be ordered. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the council of the city of New Brighton, Minnesota: ~ 1. The Mayor and Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Hoffman Brothers, Inc in the name of the City of New Brighton for Improvement 75~2B, Water, Miiuil.ns i 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
