" RESOLUTION NO. 1816 STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON RESOLUTION STATING POSITION OF THE NEW BRIGHTON CITY COUNCIL REGARDING THE 1977 LEGISLATIVE PROGRAM OF THE RAMSEY COUNTY BOARD. WHEREAS the Ramsey County Board has adopted a legislative program to be presented to the 1977 Minnesota Legislature for consideration and enactment, and WHEREAS the New Brighton City Council has studied the legislative program and wished to support, question, or oppose various parts of the legislative program NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of New Brighton, that it hereby supports and urges enactment of the following bills or sections of the 1977 legislative program of the Ramsey county Board of Commissioners 1. Bill #1 Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9# 10 2. Bill #2 3. Bill #3 4. Bill #4 5. Bill #5 Subd.;. 4 and 7 6. Bill #6 7. Bill #7 all but 1 (d) 8. Bill #9 9. Bill #10 10. Bill #11 11. Bill #12 12. Bill #13 Subd. 2 and 3 13. Bill #15 14. Bill #17 15. Bill #18 16. Bill #19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the purpose and intent of Bill #8 relating to county ditches is questioned in that it is the understanding of the Council that all of Ramsey County is encompassed in watershed districts which are presumed to have controlling authority. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Bill #13 regarding County pay- ments to st. Paul for road and bridge improvements be supported conditioned upon a rewording to require expenditures to be contro- lled by the co~nty with approval of st. Paul. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Bill #1, Sect. 7 regarding ambulance service and Bill #16 regarding paramedics services are hereby opposed as being premature and should be considered only after completion of Community Health Services Act Planning. ,,<;
