<br />> 'l' <br /> . <br /> \ <br />- .. <br />~ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1751 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT ON IMPROVEMENT 74-6 <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New <br /> Brighton, Minnesota as follows: <br /> WHEREAS pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by <br /> law the City Council has met and heard and passed upon all objecti'Dns <br /> to the proposed asseS'srneht ;for the impro.vement of the area, gener- <br /> ally bounded on the west by Old ij:wy. 8;, 'hcnmded on the east by the <br /> east line of the Minnesota Belt Line Railway right of way; bounded <br /> on the north by Old H~Y. ~; and bounded ~n the south by a line <br /> parallel with and approximately 740, feet south of the south line of <br /> 5th StreEt NW. <br /> < <br /> By: acquiring utility and construction easements and install- <br /> ation of storm sewer pipe and appurtenances on property located <br /> between 8th Avenue NW and Minnesota Belt Line Railway <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council of the City <br /> of New Brighton, Minnesota: <br /> 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached <br /> hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall const- <br /> itute the special assessment against the lands named therein, and <br /> each tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited <br /> by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied <br /> against it. <br /> 2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual insta1l-' <br /> ments extending over a period of fifteen (15) years, the first of <br /> the installments to be payable on or after the first Monday in <br /> January 1977, and shall bear interest at the rate of eight percent <br /> (8) per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment <br /> resolution until December 31, 1976, to each subsequent installment <br /> when due shall be added interest for one ( 1) year on all unpaid <br /> installments. <br /> 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time <br /> prior to certification of the assessment to the county auditor, pay <br /> the whole of the assessment on such property with interest accrued <br /> to the date of payment, to the City Treasurer, except that no <br /> interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within <br /> 30 days from the adoption of this resolution and he may, at any <br /> time thereafter, pay to the county treasurer the balance of the <br /> assessments remaining unpaid with interest accrued in accordance <br /> with the statutes such in case made and provided. <br /> 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate <br /> of this assessment to the County Auditor to be extended on the <br /> proper tax list of the County, and such assessments shall be <br /> collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal <br /> taXES. <br /> Adopted this 24th day of August, 1976 <br />
