<br />~ <br /> .-- " <br />" ~ <br />:.. .~ <br /> Resolution No. 1718 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION STATING COUNCIL POLICY IN REGARD TO THE USE OF THE <br />PRD ORDINANCE FOR MULTIPLE PARCEL DEVELOPMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the New Brighton City Council has reviewed <br />proposed Planned Residential Developments (PRD's) covering <br />multiple parcels separated by public streets and will <br />possibly receive similar development proposals in the future, <br />and <br />WHEREAS the provisions of the New Brighton Zoning Code <br />in regard to PRD's have among their purposes to encourage <br />flexibility in layout and site planning ana the more <br />efficient utilization of land and open space, so long as <br />such developments are not detrimental to the public health, <br />safety, morals and general welfare, and <br />WHEREAS, efficient utilization of open space requires <br />that such open space be located in proximity to the residents <br />who will be making use of it and that such open spaces <br />be accessible to such residents along a safe route of travel <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NEW BRIGHTON that a proposed development composed of <br />multiple parcels of land Sfparated by public streets shall <br />only be considered as a single planned residential develop- <br />ment if open spece is created and distributed within the <br />development in such a way as to provide a benefit to each <br />separate parcel and all residences in the PRD. <br />Adopted this 25th day of May 1976 <br /> , <br />Attest: <br /> ....-:i..- <br />~)~-[)JJ~ Thomas F.
