<br /> ~ "'\. ,.... ...--:w <br /> RESOLUTION: NO. 1708 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW B~GHTON <br /> : mSOLUTI ON AMENDING THE 1976 BUDGET, AMENDING THE SCHEDULE OF <br /> :?AY AND COMPENSATION AND ALTERING POSITION DESCRIPTIONS RELATIVE <br /> 1['0 THE LIQUOR DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS in August of 1973 a second municipal off-sale <br /> liquor store was opened in the City, and <br /> WHEREAS such additional facility greatly increased volume, <br /> manpower, and management requirements, and <br /> WHEREAS the liquor business is becoming more highly <br /> competitive requiring management expertise in marketing, retailing" <br /> pricing, advertising, and use of personnel, and <br /> WHEREAS a reorganization of the Liquor Department can <br /> better respond to the above problems and is in the public <br /> interest <br /> NOW THEREFORE bE IT RESOLVED, That the budget for the <br /> Liquor Department be amended by: <br /> 1. Eliminating the position of Assistant Liquor Store <br /> Manager; <br /> 2. Rec1assificating the position of Liquor Manager to <br /> Liquor Superintendent; <br /> 3. Establishing the new position of Director of Liquor <br /> Operations <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the attached position <br /> responsibility descriptions of Director of Liquor Operations and <br /> Liquor Superintendent are hereby adopted <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Resolution 1650 establishing <br /> the annual schedule of pay and compensation be amended by: <br /> 1. Elimination of the c1assific~tion and salary schedule <br /> of Assistant Liquor Store Manager; <br /> 2. Amending the c~assification of Liquor Store Manager to <br /> Liquor Superintendent with the salarY schedule remain- <br /> ing the same; <br /> 3.
