" <br /> . f 1702 , . <br /> , <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT <br /> AGREEMENT FOR CITY ATTORNEY AND AMENDING THE 1976 OPERATING BUDGE~~ <br /> RELATIVE TO EMPLOYEE SERVlCES <br /> WHEREAS the present City Attorney has resigned his position <br /> effective May 1, 1976, and <br /> WHEREAS the City Manager has appointed, subject to Council <br /> approval, Donald L. Lais as City Attorney, and <br /> WHEREAS it is in the public interest to enter into a contrac1t <br /> with Donald L. Lais prescribing job responsibilities and <br /> compensation, and <br /> WHEREAS said contract has been prepared and a copy attached: <br /> to this resolution, and <br /> WHEREAS the 1976 Operational Budget for the Legal Department <br /> does not contain sufficient funds for employee services specified <br /> in said contract, and <br /> WHEREAS sufficient funds are available in the Contingency <br /> Account <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> NEW BRIGHTON, That the appointment of Donald L. Lais of Lais, <br /> Bannigan & Ceresi, 409 First Federal Building, 5th and Cedar <br /> st. Paul, Minnesota is hereby approved <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor and Manager are here~~ <br /> authorized and directed to execute the contract between Donald L. <br /> Lais and the City of New Brighton, a copy of which is attached to <br /> this resolution <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the 1976 Operating Budget be <br /> amended by increasing the Legal Department employee services <br /> account by Eight Hundred (800) Dollars, such funds to be <br /> transferred from the Contingency Account. <br /> Adopted this 27th day of April, 1976 <br /> , <br /> i ATTEST: <br /> - <br /> Thomas F.
