<br /> . ,~ .. <br /> ""'" ~ <br /> , '. <br /> ~ . <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1690 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> RESOLUTION HONORING THE 1975-1976 IRONDALE "All PEEWEE HOCKEY <br /> TEAM <br /> WHEREAS the Ironda1e Peewee Hockey Team has distinguished <br /> itself by winning the championship of the North Suburban Peewee <br /> Hockey League, and <br /> WHEREAS it has won the District 2 championship, and <br /> WHEREAS it moved on to win the right to represent the <br /> South Green Region in the State of Minnesota championships, and <br /> WHEREAS it has won the State Of Minnesota Peewee champion- <br /> ship, and <br /> WHEREAS it has won the Peewee hockey tournaments at <br /> Burnsvil1e, Coon Rapids, Austin, Thief River Falls, Superior and <br /> St. Paul Winter Carnival liKing Boreas" tournament, and <br /> . <br /> WHEREAS it has been runner-up in the Rosevi11e and Silver <br /> Sticks Peewee tournaments, and <br /> WHEREAS the members of the team consist of the Wingmen <br /> Steve Checco, Carl Dahl, Craig Gunderman and Tom Piche; Linemen, <br /> Mark Bader, Mike Bjugstad, Louie Hedberg, Steve Hoppe, <br /> ~ Dave Kirwin and Greg Tuveson; Defensemen Loren Boyer, Ken Brovo1d, <br /> Bill Burns, Mark Kroona and Eric Sjodin and Goaltenders, Jon <br /> Downing and Brian Johnson, and <br /> WHEREAS the team was ably led by Coach Norman Hart and <br /> Assistant Coach Harlan Downing, and Manager Bob Piche and <br /> Co-Manager Larry Brovo1d, and <br /> WHEREAS the team was greatly supported by their parents, <br /> friends and businesses of the area, and <br /> WHEREAS the majority of the team members are residents of <br /> the City of New Brighton, Minnesota, and <br /> WHEREAS the team participated in the "1976 National Peewee <br /> Tournament" field at the Bicentennial City of Brotherly Love, <br /> Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from April 2 through April 4, 1976, <br /> in competition with seven other of the Nation I s best peewee teame', <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS the team has captu):'ed the Third PIa De in the <br /> National Peewee Tournament <br />
