Ioi <br /> { "" 1686 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> , <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> , COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND DECLARING THAT UNDER <br /> CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES A LODGE USE IN A B-2 NEIGHBORHOOD ZONE <br /> IS A PERMITTED USE. <br /> WHEREAS The Northeast Lodge No. 345 A.F .&,.A .M. has <br /> entered into an earnest money contract to acquire the property <br /> described as Lots 14 and 151 except the Nor~h 3.5 feet thereofl <br /> Block 6, First Addition bo New Brighton and has requested perm- <br /> ission to use such property and the building on such property <br /> as a lodge. and <br /> ,. <br /> WHEREAS the New Brighton Zoning Code does not clearly <br /> prohibit a permit for such use, and <br /> WHEREAS the New Brighton City Council has investigated the <br /> facts relating to such request and heard all relevant arguments <br /> on the subject <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br /> of New Brighton that the following facts are found to be true <br /> as they relate to the request <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> 1. The parcel of land in question is located and described <br /> as Lots 14 and 151 except the North 3.5 feet th~reofl Block 6 <br /> First Addition to New Brighton and is presently Zoned B-2. <br /> 2. That a church type structure exists on the property <br /> and a church type use has been conducted on the property for <br /> many years. <br /> 3. That the land to the north is Zoned B-2 but contains <br /> single family homes~. that the property to the east (acroes the <br /> street) is zoned and developed with single family homes, that <br /> the property to the south is zoned and developed as heavy indus- <br /> try~ that the property to the west is zoned and developed Comm- <br /> ercial B-2. <br /> 4. That the applicant will use the premises as a meeting <br /> hall for a mens fraterna~ organization and its womens affiliated <br /> -/.. .', .. . 1 <br /> fraternal orga~ization~ <br /> 5. That meeting attendance will range from 18 to 25 personsl <br /> with approximately, five me~tings occ~r~ing ,each month. <br /> 6. That tl'1e'pretnises'will not be 'rented for use by persons <br /> or groups other than the two above mentioned fraternal groups. <br /> 7. That no consumption Qf alcohol will be permitted on the <br /> premises,. <br /> 8. That activities such as live music~ dancing etc. will <br /> not be conducted on the premises. <br /> 9. That adequate off street parking is provided and <br /> available to accommodate all persons expected to use the premises. <br /> 10. That use of the premises will not generate any n.ise <br /> or pollution in excess of that created when the premises was <br /> used as a house of worship1and will not detrimentally affect <br /> any adjacent or nearby propertYI and <br />
