RESOLUTION NO. 1670 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING 1976-l980 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN AND <br /> DIRECTING ADMINISTRATION TO TAKE APPROPRIATE STEPS FOR <br /> IMP.LEMENTATION THEREOF <br /> WHEREAS the City Council has ',.held a public hearing and <br /> discussed each improvement included in the Proposed 1976-1980 <br /> Capital Improvement Plan, including method of financing, and <br /> I WHEREAS all who desired to be heard were given an <br /> opportunity to ask questions and indicate their desires, and <br /> WHEREAS based upon the input provided and detailed review <br /> the Council is in a position to consider and adopt a Capital <br /> Improvement Program <br /> ; <br /> " NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br /> New Brighton, That the 1976-l980 Capital Improvement Plan be <br /> approved as proposed with the following amendments: <br /> I l. The Council earmark $33,000 for construction of tennis <br /> courts in 1976 with final approval contingent upon a <br /> site and plans acceptable to the Council; <br /> 2. The Council direct the question back to the Park Board <br /> and request a report and recommendation of a site. <br /> 3. The report shall consider the pros and cons of at <br /> least the following alternatives: <br /> a) Freedom Park - consideration should also take <br /> into account the impact on or interrelationship <br /> with other present or proposed uses such as: ball <br /> ( fields, free skating areas, etc. <br /> I b) Pike Lake Schood Grounds <br /> c) 29th Avenue Park site <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That administration be and is <br /> hereby ordered and directed to take appropriate steps to implement <br /> the 1976 improvements included in the above approved Capital Plan. <br /> Adopted this 18th day of February 1976. <br /> j <br /> i <br /> ATTEST: <br /> ~ / <br /> -,- " , f <br /> ~~ 1!pzd4 ~~I'_- <br /> _\(I ~ Jj{)f-4-- Thomas F.
