<br />... ~ <br />'t .. \ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1845 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONCEPT OF THE NORTH SUBURBAN AREA CRIME <br /> PREVENTION AND CRIMINAL APPREHENSION: FUND. <br /> WHEREAS the City Council has been made aware that a North <br /> Suburban Area Crime Prevention a~d Criminal Apprehension Fund <br /> is being developed by the North. Suburban Ar~a Chamber of Commerce, <br />I and <br />. <br /> WHEREAS the City Council isiof the opinion that such a <br /> program will be in the best interests of the citizens of the City <br /> of New Brighton in that it has proven to be an effective means of <br /> fighting crime in other communities with similar programs, and <br /> WHEREAS the financing for such a program has been guaranteed <br /> by the North Suburban Area Chamber of Commerce and other civic <br /> organizations without any costs to the City of New Brighton <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br /> New Brighton, That the Council hereby approves and supports the <br /> concept of a North Suburban Area Crime Prevention and Criminal <br /> ,Apprehension Fund to be operated by a private non-profit <br /> corporation which will fund: <br /> 1. A Code-A phone system to be used for the receipt of <br /> tips from confidential informants (such information to be <br /> used by appropriate law enforcement agencies) and the <br /> issuance of code numbers to such informants for possible <br /> rewards~ <br /> 2.
