<br />"- <br /> If " <br />~ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2099 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING RAMSEY COUNTY TO INSTALL "NO TRUCK PARKING" <br />SIGNS ON FIFTH AVENUE IN DOWNTOWN NEW BRIGHTON <br /> WHEREAS the parking of semi-trailers and other large trucks: <br />on 5th Avenue NW in downtown New Brighton causes a serious traffic <br />safety and sight distance visibility hazard for other traffic in <br />the area, and <br /> WHEREAS the idling of such trucks during the winter months <br />causes damage to the remaining elm trees along 5th Avenue NW in <br />downtown by creating an alternating freeze-tha\'17 cycle around the <br />trees, and <br /> WHEREAS the objectives of downtown redevelopment require <br />that truck parking be restricted <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the New Brighton City <br />Council that: <br /> Section 1. "NO Truck Parking"Signs <br /> Ramsey County is hereby petitioned by the City of New <br />Brighton to install "No truck parking" signs on both sides of <br />5th Avenue NW in downtown New Brighton from 8th Street on the <br />south to 1-694 on the north as soon as possible. <br /> Section 2.
