<br />,~ ~, <br /> , <br />, ~, <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2094 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE RICE CREEK WATERSHED BOARD OF <br /> MANAGERS TO INCLUDE REPA IRS OF A DRA INAGE CHANNEL LOCATED <br /> IN THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF HANSEN PARK IN NEW BRIGHTON, <br /> INTO THE COUNTY DITCH NO. 2 LONG LAKE CHAIN OF LAKES <br /> IMPROVEMENTS. <br /> WHEREAS the Rice Creek Watershed Board of Managers <br /> has undertaken a project to abate erosion and siltation <br /> problems in County Ditch #2, a major portion of which lies <br /> in Hansen Park in the City of New Brighton and, <br /> WHEREAS a drainage channel, draining a minor watershed <br /> area West of County Ditch #2 enters County Ditch #2 near <br /> the Southwest corner of Hansen Park and, <br /> WHEREAS this drainage channel is at a very steep grade <br /> resulting in erosion of the channel and siltation in County <br /> Ditch #2 and, <br /> WHEREAS the repairing of the erosimn problem on this <br /> drainage channel would seem to be a logical addition to <br /> the Watersheds County Ditch #2 project. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of <br /> the City of New Brighton hereby request the Rice Creek <br /> Watershed Board of Managers to add the repair of the <br /> drainage channel entering County Ditch #2 to the County <br /> Ditch #2 Long Lake Chain of Lakes Improvements. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br /> City of New Brighton would prefer to have the channel <br /> repaired as an open channel and not with a storm sewer as <br /> described in the New Brighton City Engineer's Report #78-234 <br /> dated September 7, 1978, if economically feasible. <br /> Adopted this 26th day of September, 1978. <br /> ATTEST: Gary <br /> V;:;:-~ ~.{dJJ~_. <br /> Vernon C.
