" <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2068 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND DENYING VARIANCE <br /> APPLICATION VN-187 <br /> WHEREAS an application for a variance VN-187 has been made <br /> by Lloyd L. Brandt, Trustee for Sunnyside Bible Chapel, to permit <br /> the expansion of a parking lot without installing concrete curbs,- <br /> at 2455 Long Lake Road, and <br /> WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. That an application for a variance VN-187 was filed <br /> with the city on June 14, 1978. <br /> 2. That the Board of Review heard and reviewed the <br /> application at its meeting of June 20, 1978. <br /> 3. That the City Council, pursuant to published and mailed <br /> notices, held a public hearing on July 25, 1978 to con- <br /> sider the request. All persons present at the hearing <br /> were given the opportunity to be heard. <br /> 4. The written comments and analysis of the City Planner, <br /> the Planning Commission minutes and recommendation, <br /> and all persons statements made at the public hearing <br /> meeting were considered. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br /> New Brighton that the following findings of fact are made in <br /> respect to VN-l87: <br /> 1. That there are no concrete curbs around the existing <br /> driveways or parking lot. <br /> 2. That the primary purpose of concrete curbing is to <br /> protect adjacent landscaping and to protect the <br /> appearance of property. <br /> 3. That the application presents no unique circumstances <br /> or undue hardship to warrant the variance. <br /> 4. That the requirement for concrete curbs has been <br /> consistently applied in other developments throughout <br /> the city. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOVLED, That the application for VN-l87 is <br /> and hereby denied. <br /> Adopted this 25th day of July 1978. <br /> Ja W.,Senden, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Vernon <br /> (SEAL) <br />
