<br />6 -l . <br /> Jr \ <br />.. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2018 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING VARIANCE <br />APPLICATION VN-180 <br />WHEREAS, an application for a variance VN-180 has been made <br />by Douglas R. Peterson, 553-9th St., NW , to permit the erection <br />of a permanent window sign exceeding 25% of the window area, <br />and <br />WHE REAS , the procedural history of the application is as <br />follows: <br />1. That an application for variance VN-180 was filed <br /> with the City on January 12, 1978. <br />2. That the Board of Review heard and reviewed the <br /> applica tion at its meeting of January 17, 1978. <br />3. That the City Council, pursuant to published and <br /> mailed notices, held a public hearing on March 14, <br /> 1978, to consider the application. A 11 persons <br /> present at the hearing were given an opportunity <br /> to be heard. <br />4. The written comments and analysis of the City Planner, <br /> the Planning Commission minutes and recommendation, <br /> and all person's statements made at the public hearing <br /> were considered. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of New Brighton, that the following findings of fact are made <br />in respect to VN-180: <br />1. That practical difficulties and unnecessary hard- <br /> ships would result were the "Body Specialists" sign <br /> eliminated or reduced in size. <br />2. That a sign of the same size could be constructed <br /> under normal circumstances in the wall area above <br /> the windows. <br />"P~ <br />
