Ctib.,
FOODS
New Brighton Department of Public Safety
785 Old Highway 8 NW
New Brighton, MN 55112
Mr. Jacobson,
It was nice speaking to you the other day regarding the incident that occurred the 10"' of July,
2007. We as a retail establishment take these types of situations very seriously and have
followed through appropriately to make sure anything like this does not reoccur. As an
operator in the community we have procedures in place that correct the seriousness of the
situation as well as prevention moving forward. Some of the practices we have put in place
include:
• Retraining; a detailed sheet that outlines company policy regarding the sale of
tobacco and alcohol products within the store. These sheets are signed and put in each
employees file.
• Annual review of the training and the sheets are signed again to ensure the urgency of
proper practice is followed.
• An override feature was placed on the register that the alcohol was sold. The override
requires another person (CSM or MOD) to come and unlock the register in order to
process the sale. This is an added measure to make sure just one person is not doing
what they are not supposed to.
Once again I want you to know that this is something that we have taken very seriously. It's
good to know that there is a strong partnership between the local administration and the city
businesses. This ensures that we have solid and safe places for the community to patron and
work.
Sincerely,
Paris Fadden Jr.
Store Director
2600 Rice Creek Rd
New Brighton, MTI 55112
Store: (651)636-2277 Fax: (651)636-2295
Paris.l.
