<br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-096 <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE NEW COMPENSATION PLAN FOR NON- <br />UNION, FULL-TIME AND REGULAR PART~TIME POSITIONS; AND OTHER <br />BENEFITS FOR NON-UNION PERSONNEL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the compensation rates for the Pay Plan for non-union personnel must be set <br />annually by Council resolution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the new compensation plan has been reviewed and is attached to this resolution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is also proposed that the City will continue to make a contribution towards the <br />cost of employee health insurance; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: <br /> <br />1. The City approves the new classification/compensation plan that brings the City <br />into compliance with the requirements of the Minnesota Pay Equity Act. <br />2. The 2003 compensation rates shall be specified in the attached pay plan for non- <br />union full-time and regular part-time positions subject to the State's Pay Equity Act. <br />3. The City's cafeteria plan contribution for single health coverage will be $380 per <br />month and $540 per month for family coverage. Employees electing to opt-out of <br />health insurance coverage, by providing proof of insurability elsewhere, will be <br />provided $175 per month to be used for other benefits associated with the cafeteria <br />plan. <br />4. The City shall provide either an individual or family membership at the Family <br />Service Center for interested full-time and regular part-time employees, fire <br />department members, and city council members, subject to the employee paying all <br />related associated taxes. <br />5. The City Manager, as designated by the City Council on this day, shall be <br />authorized to make various expenditures relating to employee recognition programs <br />that are deemed to serve a public purpose for the benefit of the City. <br />6. Full-time exempt employees are eligible for performance pay up to 5% of their <br />annual salary in recognition of excellent performance. <br /> <br />Adopted by the City Council this 12th day of November, 2002. <br /> <br /> <br />Steve arson, Mayor <br /> <br />~~L <br />Ma ew S.
