Page 7 of 8 <br />Motion by Councihmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Bauman to approve <br />final payment to Ramsey County for Project 02-3, Silver Lake Road <br />Reconstruction, in the amount of $92,576.06. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays; Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Re Announcements and Updates: <br />City Managtr--Dean Lotter <br />Nothing to report. <br />Council Member M B — Economic Develo ment Commission <br />Councilmember Burg reported she attended the recent harvest dinner, honoring the Senior Citizens of <br />the community. The recent EDC meeting was attended, current projects were reviewed, the <br />commission is looking forward to the market study. <br />Council Member David DgN - Planning Commission <br />Councilmember Phillips announced the next Planning Commission meeting will be October 21. <br />Council Member Sharon Doffing - Public Safe Commission <br />Councilmember Doffing attended the harvest Dinner, where senior citizens of the community are <br />honored. There is a new Irondale student member on the Public Safety Commission. Councilmexnber <br />doffing offered her appreciation for the van fire award recipients. The Fire Department will be hosting <br />on open house on Monday October 27, 2008 7:00-9:00 pm. The next Public Safety Commission <br />meeting will be Wednesday, October 29", the principle of Irondale High Scholl will be in attendance. <br />There will be blood drive on November 5 at the Public Safety Center. <br />Council Member Gina Bauman —Parks, Recreation, and Environmental Commission <br />Councilmember Bauman reported the new bike lane on Long Lake Road was recently vandalized <br />with graffiti. Public Works and Parks employees were successful in cleaning up the signage. The <br />Family Service Center was featured on "Greg & Melissa's Deals" recently. A commercial featuring <br />the Eagles Nest was filmed for replay on various cable channels. Park, Recreation and Environmental <br />Chairperson Jeanne Frischman was a featured speaker at a recent Minnesota Recreation & Parks <br />Institute event. The annual Holiday Boutique will take Place October 23 -November 1. the annual <br />Halloween Ball is October 24, 2008. <br />Mayor Larson <br />Mayor Larson acknowledged the heroisn of the van fire award recipients. The Eagles celebrated its <br />32 anniversary. Mayor Larson clarified that he is not in favor of subsidized housing in the Northwest <br />Quadrant. <br />Councilmember Bauman announced the Fairview Clinic on Silver Lake Road is having an open <br />house October 25, from 2:00-4:00 pm. <br />ConunWon Liaison <br />Reports.
