<br />. i-I- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 02- 089 <br />CITY OF NEW BRiGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />AND THE MN DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton has determined that traffic safety including enforcement and <br />education are important to a safe community: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety has conducted traffic safety activities including enforcement <br />and education: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety has participated in each of the last two years in a Safe and <br />Sober Communities grant to assist in funding enforcement and educational activities with excellent <br />results: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety has been approved by the MN Department of Public <br />Safety for participation in the Safe and Sober Communities grant program <br /> <br />WHERAS, a Resolution Authorizing Execution of this Agreement is required for participation and <br />receipt of funds: <br /> <br />Now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THE CITY MANAGER IS AUTHORlZED TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMETN <br />WITH THE MN DEPARlMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR SAFE AND SOBER COMMUNITIES ON BEHALF OF <br />THE CITY OF NEW BRlGHTON FOR THE PERIOD OF OCTOBER 1, 2002 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2003. <br /> <br />Adopted this 22nd day of October, 2002. <br /> <br />h~.Lw~ <br /> <br />Steve Larson, Mayor <br /> <br />, /f ",../l,} <br />.,' I:;.rl-t}."J> <br />Maltthew Fulton, City Manager <br /> <br />A TIEST: <br />d/ .. /// '". <br />,.'.
