More than 60
municipal representatives, including police officers, firefighters, staff and elected/appointed
officials, visited these gatherings, using 27 different vehicles to reach all the parties. Nearly 250
crime watch captains/co-captains coordinated these neighborhood events which gave nearly half
the population an opportunity to participate in NNO 2008. Significant corporate support was
provided through donations by Cub Foods, Target, Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of
America, Papa John's Pizza, Edy's Ice Cream, and Dairy Queen. Participants collected 3,400
pounds of donations and $457 in cash for the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf.
--7,- k44
Tony Paet nick
Crime Prevention Officer
IACOUNCIUPEPORTS\2009\Public Safely\NNORecognilion.doc
