Councilmember Bing referenced a recent <br />article depicting an increase for residents (average home values at $260,650) in the 621 school district of <br />$4 annually, and the 282 school district (with a school levy increase of 9.2%) being $252 annually. <br />Additionally councilmember Burg suggested another possibility for reduction would be for <br />councilmembers to decline health insurance for themselves, with the potential of a reduction of/2 %. <br />Mayor Larson reported he believes in equal pay for union and non union employees and would support <br />a 3% COLA for non union employees. Report No. 08-338. <br />City Finance Director Dan Maiers presented the item, explaining this is an established tax district within <br />the City for benefiting properties. Councilmember Burg reported that of the 13 properties residing on <br />the bond; 4 of them are not in support of the levy.
