RESOLUTION NO. <br />09-007 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2008 FIRE AND NON -FLEET BUDGETS FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF COMMUNICATIONS HEADSETS AND A NEW THERMAL IMAGER <br />CAMERA <br />WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton was awarded two separate grants from the U.S. <br />Department of Homeland Security to purchase communications headsets and a new <br />thermal imager camera; and <br />WHEREAS, these two grants were not included in the 2008 budgets that were adopted <br />December 11, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, the City contributes 10% of the costs of the communications headsets and <br />new thermal imager camera; and <br />WHEREAS, the 2008 budgets were amended to reflect the City's costs of $2,328 for the <br />communications headsets and a new thermal imager camera; and <br />WHERAS, the 2008 budget amendment was incomplete. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE 1T RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of New <br />Brighton to hereby approve the resolution increasing the budgeted Non -Fleet Fire <br />Vehicle and Equipment Acquisition by $23,280 and the budgeted Non -Fleet Federal <br />Grants by $20,952, and also increasing the budgets in the General Fund for Fire Small <br />Equipment by $3,542, Federal Grants by $3,870, and a Contribution from Fund Balance <br />of $2,000. <br />Adopted this 13th day of January, 2009. <br />Steve Larson, Mayor <br />of frinanez and %Pport <br />services.'City Clerk <br />(SEAL) <br />
