<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City of New Brighton <br />December 8, 1981 <br /> <br />The City planner stated that the church <br />was stil: considering how they could adapt <br />the buil ing to meet zoning and building <br />codes and that they would like additional <br />time to complete their investigation. <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist <br />to continue discussion on SP-lOl until <br />December 22, 1981 and also to continue <br />the condition that the church not use the <br />building as a classroom until that time. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Schmidt to <br />accept the work performed under Project #81-4 <br />the HansenPark Improvements and authorize <br />final payment to the contractor, Black Top <br />Service Company, in the amount of $5,292.93. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek to <br />accept the work performed under Project #79-l0B <br />and Project #80-9 and authorize final payment <br />to the contractor, N.D.H. Inc. of Anoka, MN <br />in theamount of $15,848.29. <br />5 ayes.. 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Janecek to waive <br />the reading and adopt the RESOLUTION AMENDING <br />RESOLUTION N~ 1295 BY CORRECTING THE LEGAL <br />DESCRIPTION FOR FREEDOM PARK with the amendment <br />that "southwest" in the second line of the <br />legal description be changed to read "southeast". <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Mr. Dave Solomon, representing Architectural <br />Alliance, was present and discussed the site <br />analysis for the downtown liquor facility. <br /> <br />Mr. John Grau, Assistant City Manager, reviewed <br />the staff report. <br /> <br />The Council discussed the site analysis, staff's <br />report and the timing for the new facility. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek to: <br /> <br />1. Designate the northwest quadrant of the <br />intr,<section of 5th Ave. and lOth Street <br />as'e site for the liquor store. <br />2. Aut,^",rize staff to proceed with the two <br />add_ional soil borings required. <br />3.
