11fNEOW' RIC�PON <br />the city that works for you <br />DATE: February 26, 2009 <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Dean Lotter, City Manager <br />FROM: Sandy Breuer, Parks and Recreation Director <br />Jason West, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director <br />SUBJECT: Brightwood Hills Golf Course / Parks and Recreation Department Services <br />We wanted to share information with you and the City Council prior to the work session <br />next Tuesday. This packet highlights some discussion points for the meeting. <br />BRIGHTWOOD HILLS GOLF COURSE <br />Council has expressed an interest in discussing the operations of the golf course. Staff <br />has attached the power point presentation which has been prepared for the work <br />session. We are focusing on providing council information on three areas: History, <br />Business Operation, and Golf Course vs. a Passive Park. <br />RECREATION PROGRAM SERVICES <br />Attached you will find a comprehensive analysis of all programs that the Parks and <br />Recreation Department operates. The document covers each individual program, <br />enrollment, and budget associated with that program. <br />Several additional parks and recreation staff will be on hand to answer questions. Staff <br />include: Jason West, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director; Ken Manthis, Golf <br />Operations Manager; Chris Wolla, Parks Maintenance Manager; and Pat Tuma, <br />Recreation Program Manager. <br />If you have any questions or want any information prior to the meeting, please let us <br />know. <br />Thank you. <br />Attachments <br />
