I I I City of New Brighton !"larch 9, 1982 Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Benke to waive the reading and adopt a RESOLUTION MODIFYING THE 1982 CITY BUDGET with the following amendments: 1) That the appropriation for Account 101-111-4300, Council Fees, Service, be revised to ~how an appropriation of $4,000. 2) That Account 101-141-4022, Salaries, Part-time (Parks) be revised to indicate an appropriation of $51,500. 4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist to: 1) Authorize the purchase of a new half-ton pickup from Minar Ford In the amount of $7,015.21; 2) Authorize the installation of liquid propane conversion by Texgas Corporation in the amount of $675.00. 3) To retain the 1975 G.M.C. pickup for the present time to be used in the Parks and I.G.S. Departments. 4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried Motion by Benke, seconded by Janecek to approve the specifications and authorize the advertisement for bids for a new City street sweeper. 4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried The City Manager questioned whether there was appropriate safeguards for the City regarding the development of the Griffis property. The City Attorney stated that with the cost equity BTO would have in the project and the fact that it would be a simultaneous closing and the fact that the project would not proceed unless appropriate financing was secured, it is felt that the City is adequately protected.
