ORDINANCE NO. 772 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY CODE RELATED TO <br />TITLE CHANGE <br />:E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON ORDAINS that the New <br />ghton Code of Ordinances is amended by amending City Code Sections 17-5 and 17 - <br />through 17-78 as follows. <br />-c. 17-5. Enforcement. <br />Zforcement of this Chapter shall be in accordance with the provisions of this Section. <br />) It shall be the duty of the Public Safety Department to enforce the provisions of this Chapter. <br />) The City Council may by resolution delegate to other officers or agencies power to enforce <br />Lrticular provisions of this Chapter including the power to inspect private premises. <br />) The officers charged with enforcement of this Chapter shall take all reasonable precautions to <br />event the conunission or maintenance of public nuisances. <br />) The Code Enforcement Officer, licensed Public Safety Officers, Community Service Officers, <br />d Public Safety Reserve Officers are authorized to enforce the provisions of this Chapter by <br />wing citations in lieu of arrest or continued detention. Law Enforcement Notice to Other Authorities. <br />>n identification of a clandestine drug lab site or chemical dumpsite deemed to place <br />;hbors, visiting public, or present and future occupants of the affected property at risk for <br />osure to harmful contaminants and other associated conditions, law enforcement officials will <br />fy the City Code Enforcement Officer and other appropriate municipal, child protection, and <br />tic health authorities of the property location, property owner if known, and conditions found. <br />17-74. Seizure of Property. <br />If a clandestine drug lab or chemical dump site is located inside a vehicle, boat, trailer, or <br />;r form of moveable personal property, law enforcement authorities may immediately seize <br />i property and transport it to a more secure location. <br />Personal property may not be removed from a clandestine drug lab site or a chemical dump <br />without the prior consent from the City Code Enforcement Officer <br />
