Aflinning of the 2005 Framework Plan for the redevelopment of the Northwest Quadrant. <br />Resolution No. 09-015. <br />Motion by Councilmember Burgs seconded by Counrilmember Phillips to accept the A#brrnation of <br />the 2005 Framework Plan for the redevelopment of the Northwest Quadrant. <br />4Ayes, 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates <br />City ManaQenDean Lotter <br />City Manager Lotter reported a work session is scheduled for March 3, 2009, from 5:00-7:00 pm. <br />Coundhnember Mary Burg <br />Councilmember Burg reported the Economic Development Commission meets next week. <br />Coundhnember David Phillips <br />Councilmember Phillips repotted the Planning Commission met February 17, and looked at various zoning <br />code amendments, and will continue to do so through the coming months. <br />Councihnember Sharon Doffing <br />Councilmembm Doffing reported the Public Safety Commission meets tomorrow night, February 25th <br />There was an article in Finance and Commerce this week that New Brighton's new Bioterluncal company - <br />Transoma has raised $43 million through other avenues for their business purposes, congratulations were <br />extended. Also, today another New Brighton company was featured in the newspaper, CSI is <br />the only MN Company to apply for an IPO in MN in over a year and they are a New Brighton <br />based company. Congratulations were expressed to CSI and their Chief Executive officer <br />David Martin for becoming a publically traded company. <br />Ten Agencies participated with 25 officers wonting the Ramsey County Saturation Traffic detail which <br />focused on hazardous driving in the New Brighton area. They made many citations, l5 amests,13 DUI's, l <br />vehicle forfeiture. Gratitude was expressed to Sergeant Mastermarr, Sergeant Nelson and Officer Locher <br />for their diligence on our stt eets. Bob Parrott of the Volunteers in Public Safety program assisted with three <br />days of training for Projekt Lifesaver in Wright County. Bob has been a tremendous advocate for this <br />program. On February 13th, the annual Police Division and awards meeting was held at the Public Safety <br />Cerner. Appreciation was expressed to Mayor Larson and City Manager Lotter for attending. <br />Detective Mike Lochen was awarded a commendation award for his effort in arresting a burglary suspect. <br />Brian DeDominces was named Traffic Safety Officer of the year, and Officer Ted Layton was named the <br />2008 Police Officer of the year. <br />Public HearirrQ <br />None <br />Cau xi Burduess <br />1.
