<br />AN AMENDMENT -T0 THE CITY
<br />CODE RELATED TO
<br />FIREWOOD STORAGE
<br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF-'.
<br />NEW BRIGHTON ORDAINS that thea
<br />New Brighton Code of Ordinances is,
<br />amended by amending City Code
<br />Section 17-2 as follows:
<br />Sec. 17-2. Health Nuigancoe.
<br />The maintaining,` -Using, Q&WJE1a.—
<br />depositing, leaving or permitting, to be or
<br />remain on any public or private property
<br />of any of the listed items, conditions, or
<br />actions are hereby declared to be and
<br />constitute a public .nuisance affecting
<br />the health, safety, comfort, or repose.
<br />This enumeration shall not be doomed
<br />or construed to be oonclusive, 461ting,
<br />or restrictive.
<br />(1) Garbage and Trash.
<br />Accumulations of rubbish, junk,
<br />garbage, tree branches, cut trees, grass
<br />clippings, tin cans, bottles or trash or
<br />debris of any nature or desciiptlor.
<br />except in fly -tight con1giners, and the
<br />throwing, dumpinq, or depositing of any
<br />dead animals, manure, garbage, waste,
<br />decaying matter, ground sand, stones,
<br />ashes, rubbish or tin cans on private
<br />properly.
<br />(2) Danq ft. Dumping the contents of
<br />any cesspool, . privy vault, or garbage
<br />can except at places authorized by law.
<br />(3), Animal Carcass. Carcasses of
<br />animals not destroyed within 24 hours
<br />after death.
<br />(4) Weeds. All noxious weeds and
<br />other rank growths.
<br />(6) Smoke and Fumes. Dense smoke,
<br />noxious fumes, gas, soot, or flying
<br />Binders in unreasonable quantities.
<br />(6) /,and Fill. The dumping of or use as
<br />land fill of any materials except clean --
<br />sand, gravel, soil and din without a
<br />special permit from the City.
<br />(7) Firewood Storage. Any outside
<br />storage of out firewood that is not stored
<br />in the side or rear yard or that is not so
<br />stacked as to be stable.
<br />(8) Other Acts. All other acts,
<br />omissions of acts, occupations- and
<br />uses of property which are deemed by
<br />the Health Officer to be a menace to the
<br />health of the inhabitants of the City or a
<br />considerable number thereof. (Code
