<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />"": <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof a regular meeting of the New Brighton <br />City Council was held Tuesday, September 28, 1982 at 7:45 p.m. <br />in the municipal building, 803 5th Avenue NW, New Brighton, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gregg Harcus, Councilmembers Bob Benke, <br />Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek, Steve Schmidt <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />James Fornell, City Manager <br />Charles LeFevere, City Attorney <br />John Grau, Acting Director of Finance <br />Les Proper, Director of Public Works <br />Maurice Anderson, Director of Parks and Recreation <br />John Kelley, Chief of Police <br />James Winkels, Director of Community Development <br />Joan Archer, City Planner <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Janecek to approve the <br />minutes of September 15, 1982 as presented. <br />5 a~es - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Mayor with consent of the Council directed receipt of <br />the Human Rights Commission minutes of September 13, 1982; <br />the Contract Hauling Public Meeting (EQC) minutes of September <br />13, 1982 and September 16, 1982; and the Planning Commission <br />minutes of September 21, 1982. <br /> <br />Councilmember Benke stated that he wished to comment in <br />regard to the Human Rights Commission minutes of September <br />13, 1982. Specifically, Councilmember Benke stated that <br />he felt that the Mayor's comments regarding the transfer <br />of the property was not reflective of the Council's position. <br /> <br />Mayor Harcus stated he was voicing his own opinion. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Janecek to approve the following <br />items: <br /> <br />I l. <br />2 . <br />3 . <br /> 4 . <br /> 5. <br /> 5 <br /> <br />Consolidated fund vouchers 69848-69937; 61838-61908 <br />Liquor fund vouchers 18734-18772 <br />License: <br />Turritto's Pizza - Food Establishment (6 mos.) <br />Assessment Division <br />Transfer of Gasoline Pump License - Union Oil Co. to <br />Beach's Standard (Oct. 6, 1982-June 30, 1983) <br />2251 Long Lake Road <br />ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />
