The applications spanned the spectrum from fairly routine to those that were more <br /> complicated. However, much of the year was spent on commercial or industrial development projects. <br /> Highlights include: <br /> • On the Run(formerly Tank N Tummy) car wash addition <br /> • Clifton House <br /> • Hollywood Video façade and drive-thru improvements <br /> • Hidden Oaks cell tower <br /> • Interplant 21,000 SF warehouse project—3595 New Brighton Road <br /> • Outdoor dining @ Champp's Restaurant <br /> • Wi Fi tower for Business Data Record Services—201 9th AVE SW <br /> • Cell Tower relocation from NWQ—to Mission Foods at 1565 1st AVE NW <br /> • General Development Plan Amendment for St. John's church playground <br /> • Eagles outdoor patio <br /> • Bell Pole office addition <br /> • Palmer Drive commercial building <br /> • Salem Covenant Church dynamic sign <br /> In addition to the above-noted projects, the Commission considered three Comprehensive Sign Plan <br /> Amendments and four Zoning Code amendments. The Commission also devoted many public hearing <br /> discussions that examined the issue of allowing telecommunication towers in parks. Because of that, the <br /> Commission would recommend the Council continue to develop a policy for any forthcoming requests. <br /> Lastly, the Commission devoted two meetings to discuss the 2008 update to the New Brighton <br /> Comprehensive Plan. <br /> The Commission would like to continue to discuss the Comprehensive Plan and possible future <br /> amendments in the coming year. Additionally, 2009 may be a good year to consider possible <br />
