<br />~~...,1 <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />I DATE September 15, 1981 <br />TO Honorable Mayor and City Co u n c i 1 <br /> FROM Building Committee <br /> SUBJECT: Wine Bar Addition <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />As you are aware, staff had a bid opening on September 10, 1981 <br />at 2:00 p.m. at City Hall. As you are also aware the city did <br />not receive bids for masonary, structural steel or carpet <br />installation. Having received no bids for these three categories <br />the city extended the bid deadline for only those three categories <br />until Monday, September 14, 1981 at 4:00 p.m. We received four <br />bids for masonary at that time. <br /> <br />Since that time, members of the bUilding committee and the <br />architectural firm have gone through all the bids, identified <br />the lowest responsible bidde~ and are recommending that the City <br />Council award contracts to the fifteen contractors listed on the <br />attached sheet in the amount of $312,381.00. A balance of <br />approximately $43,306.00 remains to be awarded at the City Council <br />meeting on September 22, 1981, pending clarification of material <br />selection and installation pricing on carpet and bar equipment. <br />Adding these two figures one arrives at a total of $355,687 which <br />represents all structural work relating to the lounge and the <br />package store,as well as bar equipment, prep room equipment and <br />carpeting for both stores. Added to this figure for a total <br />project cost are the following items: <br /> <br />1. Interior Furnishing And Miscellaneous Equipment <br />For The Lounge <br /> <br />$51 ,600 <br /> <br />This includes: tables, chairs, casual seating, <br />plants, planters, cash registers, misc. small <br />bar equipment, e.g. coffee maker. <br /> <br />2. Miscellaneous Equipment And Improvement To <br />Package Store. <br /> <br />$10,000 <br /> <br />This includes: new counters, new shelving, <br />temporary door, ice machine, etc. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />3. General Conditions/Contingency <br /> <br />This includes rental of trailer, cost of <br />construction supervisor, portable toilets, <br />e t c., con t i g e n cy to be use din the <br />inevitable event that additional costs <br />o c c IJ r d u r i n g con s t r-u c t ion. <br /> <br />$25,000 <br />
