<br />I <br /> <br />CO('GICIJ., PPOCECDJ:.~,.;~; <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRICHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof a regular meeting of the New Brighton <br />City Council was held Tuesday, october 13, 1981 at 7:30 p.m. <br />in the municipal building, 803 5th Avenue NW, New Brighton, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Senden, Councilmembers Rob Benkc, <br />Roger Blomquist, Jeanette .Janecek, Steve Schmidt <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />James Fornell, City Manager <br />Donald Lais, city Attorney <br />Les Proper, Director of Public Works <br />Maurice Anderson, Director of Parks and Recreation <br />James Winkels, Director of Commurnty Development <br />Joan Archer, City Planner <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Motion-by Benke, seconded by Janecek to approve the <br />minutes of September 22, 1981 as presented. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Mayor with consent of the Council directed receipt <br />and filing of the minutes of the Park Board meeting <br />of September 2, 1981 and the Human Rlghts Commission <br />meeting of September 14, 1981. <br /> <br />Special Order of B~si~_~s~ <br />Mr. Tom Newcome, newly appointed District 4 <br />representative of the Metropolitan Council, <br />introduced himself to the City Council, <br />stated that he was anxious to work with the <br />City of New Brighton, its Council, staff and <br />residents. <br /> <br />Tom Newcome <br />Metropolitan <br />Council Rep. <br /> <br />Mr. Newcome stated he was familiar with the <br />City's comprehensivc planning efforts as well <br />as its efforts regarding the Long Lake Park <br />site. <br /> <br />Mr. Newcome finally stated that he was willing <br />and able to provide whatever assistance was <br />necessary for the City of New Brighton. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor with the consent of the Council <br />directed receipt of Commission \.1tlarLerly <br />Reports received from the Environmen~al <br />Quality Commission and the Planning Cummission. <br /> <br />Commission <br />Quarterly <br />Reports <br />
