<br />~._-.i ~.~ I.-""~i UJ.. oi-';:IU 'con <br />November 24, 1981 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />the dollar amount requested from $1,800,000 <br />to $l,980,000 due to the need to capitalize <br />interest during the construction period. <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Casserly, representing O'Connor and <br />Hannon and bond COunsel for the City stated <br />that the amendment to the dollar amount was <br />appropriate and that the preliminary resolution <br />would be amended if the Council approved. <br /> <br />No one else present at the public hearing <br />spoke to the issue. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Benke to <br />close the hearing. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Schmidt to <br />waive the reading and adopt a RESOLUTION <br />GIVING PRELIMINARY APPROVAL TO A PROJECT <br />UNDER THE MUNICIPAL INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPM-ENT <br />ACT, REFERRING THE PROPOSAL TO THE COMMISSIONER <br />OF SECURITIES FOR APPROVAL, AND AUTHORIZING <br />PREPARATION OF NECESSARY DOCUMENTS with the <br />amendment regarding the dollar amount requested <br />being increased from $1,800,000 to $1,980,000. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />I ire Bill Thomas, representing BTO corporation <br />was present. Mr. Thomas reviewed the propOsed <br />development of a 130,000 square foot office/ <br />warehouse develop:rpent at County Road "D" and <br />1-3SW. Mr. Thomas explained that there <br />idea was to creat development that would be <br />suitable for both the small and larger commercial/ <br />industrial user.
