<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />city of New Brighton <br />July 14, 1981 <br /> <br />Mr. Greg Harcus, 1620 Sioux Boulevard, <br />questioned why a delay has occurred <br />in the renovation of Hansen Park per <br />plans discussed in 1980. <br /> <br />,After considerable discussion the Council <br />acted in the following manner: <br /> <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Schmidt to <br />continue the public hearing on Federal <br />Revenue Sharing to July 28, 1981 at 7:40 p.m. <br />and to direct staff to provide a detailed <br />cost break-out in regard to drainage, walk paths, <br />parking lot and west entrance as proposed in the <br />1981 ClP for renovation of Hansen Park. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist to <br />amend the motion to include that $l,500 <br />be appropriated to provide for soil borings <br />in the parking lot area. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Vote on motion as amended. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Council Business <br />The Mayor with the consent of the Council <br />directed receipt and filing of the petition <br />and letters. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert polzak, attorney representing <br />the Long Lake Improvements Association <br />gave a general overview of events as they <br />have occurred to date in regard to Long <br />Lake Park. <br /> <br />Diana Eagon, 1503 Mississippi Street, <br />suggested that Council request the <br />park Board to address Long Lake Park <br />concept plans at its July 15, 1981 <br />Park Board meeting SO that concerns <br />of citizens in the area could be expressed <br />in addition to the discussion of the <br />proposed Joint Powers Agreement. <br /> <br />Mrs. Pat Cobb, 1732 19th Street NW, <br />questioned who would design Long Lake Park. <br />She stated she understood that Ramsey County <br />would be doing the design. <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Schweppe, 1227 12th Avenue, questioned <br />whether additional input would be considered <br />or is only the Joint Powers Agreement to be <br />considered at the Park Board meeting. <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br />General Revenue <br />Sharing Hearing <br />Supplement to <br />Report NO. 81-127 <br />7:53-8:32 <br /> <br />Long Lake Park <br />Petition <br />Report No. 81-143 <br />
