<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof a regular meeting of the New <br />Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, April 14, 1981 <br />at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 5th Avenue NW <br />New Brighton, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor James Senden, Councilmembers Bob Benke, <br />Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek, Steve Schmidt <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />John Grau, Acting City Manager <br />Donald L. Lais, City Attorney <br />Maurice Anderson, Director of Parks and Recreation <br />Jim Winkels, Director of Community Development <br />Joan Archer, City Planner <br />Les Proper, Director of Public Works <br />Vernon Pederson, City Clerk <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Schmidt to approve the <br />minutes of March 24, 1981 and the minutes of April 1, 1981 <br />as presented. <br /> <br />The Mayor with consent of the Council directed receipt <br />of the Human Rights Commission minutes of March 2, 1981~ <br />the Park Board minutes of March 3, 1981~ the Board of Review <br />minutes of March 17, 1981 and April 1, 1981; and the <br />Board of Planning minutes of April 2, 1981 as presented. <br /> <br />S?ecial Order of Business <br />The Reverend Brunko, representing the <br />Salem Baptist Church, presented a donation <br />of $100 to the City Council in appreciation <br />of City services. The Mayor, on behalf of <br />the City Council, directed receipt of the <br />donation from Salem Baptist Church and <br />thanked Reverend Brunko for this contribution. <br /> <br />Donation - <br />Salem Baptist Church <br /> <br />Mr. Ed Walhof, President of Micom Corporation, <br />presented the Mayor and Council with a check <br />for $1,000 to be used for some park and <br />recreation use. The Mayor with consent of <br />the Council directed receipt of the check <br />from Micom Corporation and thanked Mr. Walhof <br />for the donation. <br /> <br />Donation - <br />Micom Corporation <br />
