..'

I

I

I

-,

SECTION ~-600 AMENDED MAY 21. 1981
PAGE 3

The Bloomington code was written by 8 group made up of CB operators.

amateur radio operators and other interested citizens for the express

purpose of adopting a code which would be
a - workable

b - concise

c - unambiguous

d - agreeable to all by protecting the rights of all Bloomington
citizens.

~. The proposed section 4-600 of the City of New Brighton building code

3.

has none of the above attributes. In fact. it is about one-third

the length of the Bloomington code.
5. Again. there is no subsection dealing with existing structures. Do

you not think it ludicrous to require those with an antenna or tower

which has withstood the test of time to all come forth to register

his/her tower or antenna under these new restricting rules?

6. I submit that what is being applied for is only the use of one's

own property; nothing special. For all other such circumstances

such as locating 8 building or driveway within a required property

line set back one applies for a variance. What is the difference

here?
