<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />city of New Brighton <br />June 9, 1981 <br /> <br />Mr. John Murlowski, representing Belair <br />Builders, was present to answer questions. <br /> <br />SP-98, Belair <br />Builders, Inc. <br />Report No. 81-111 <br />7:45 - 8:01 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2463 <br /> <br />Councilmember Benke asked if the 10,000 <br />cubic yards of the proposed excavation <br />was sufficient to complete the job. <br />Mr. Murlowski stated that the estimate for <br />cubic yards of fill material needed was <br />supplied from Suburban Engineering based <br />on the construction plans and elevation <br />drawings of the site. And that based on <br />these drawings and plans, the 10,000 cubic <br />yards was felt to be sufficient. <br /> <br />Mr. Walt Nyberg, 129 30th Avenue NW stated that <br />he was concerned that this rather small excavation <br />project not turn into a continual gravel mining operation <br />on this property. <br /> <br />The Acting Mayor replied that there is no guarantee <br />that additional special use permits will not be applied <br />for in the future but that the City does retain some <br />control through the special use permit process. <br /> <br />Mr. Ron Raveling, 117 30th Avenue NW, questioned where <br />the fill would actually be removed from the site. <br />Mr. Murlowski stated that the fill would generally <br />be coming from a small area in the middle of the <br />60 acre site. <br /> <br />Mr. Fritz Werdouschegg, 1501 23rd Avenue ~M, questioned <br />whether the road used for hauling would be repaired back <br />to its natural state following completion of the <br />excavation work. Mr. Murlowski stated that they would <br />be willing to construct a berm or otherwise repair the <br />traveled road back to the original state. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek to close the <br />public hearing. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to waive <br />the reading and adopt a RESOLUTION ~~KING FINDINGS <br />OF FACT AND APPROVING APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL USE <br />PERMIT SP-98. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist, to amend <br />the motion by adding a point number five (5) under <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to read as follows: <br /> <br />"That the applicant submit a dust and <br />traffic control plan for approval by <br />the city Engineer." <br /> <br />-3- <br />
